El Dorado Hotel Room

The hotel has a block of rooms set aside for CWAG meeting attendees. Call the reservations number and request the CWAG Annual Meeting room block. A variety of room styles and sizes are available. The CWAG discounted room rates are also available pre and post meeting. Check-in at 4:00 pm; check-out at 11:30 am. As Santa Fe is a premier vacation destination during the summer months, we strongly encourage you to make your hotel reservations first, then your air reservations as soon as possible. The last possible day to get room reservations within the CWAG room block is June 22, 2010.

Room Types and Rates/Guaranteed Reservations

CWAG has set aside many different room types for attendee’s convenience. They include deluxe rooms with two double beds or a king-size bed, junior and one bedroom suites with a king-size bed and sofa sleeper, and some boasting fireplaces. Prices range from $289/per night up to $399/night plus applicable state and local taxes which are currently 14.9375%. Due to the wide variety of room types and their limited availability, the Eldorado Hotel & Spa provides personal phone service in fitting guest needs to available room styles. Please call and speak with a reservations representative at 800.955.4455 to discuss your individual needs and secure your room. The Eldorado Hotel is 100% non-smoking.

Reservations confirmed with a credit card will be charged one night room and tax deposit which is refundable up to 72 hours prior to the date of arrival. Reservations that are cancelled within 72 hours of arrival will be charged one night room and tax. Changes made after check-in will be subject to a $50 fee should you choose to depart earlier than your confirmed departure date at the time of check-in.

Amenities

Each guest room at the Eldorado Hotel & Spa is equipped with a refrigerator. Also, CWAG guests will enjoy complimentary high speed internet access in their rooms for checking emails, etc. However, if you will be streaming music or videos there will be an option to upgrade your internet access for a fee of $9.95 per 24 hours. The self serve Business Center is open 24 hours per day.

The Eldorado's heated rooftop pool and hot tub are located on the 5th floor roof of the hotel. The Fitness Center is equipped with treadmills, stair machines, free weights, weight machines and his and her saunas. It is open 24 hours and can only be accessed with a room key. All children under the age of 16 must be supervised at all times in the Fitness Centers.

If you are interested in any spa services during your stay, the Eldorado Hotel offers a variety of services at their Nidah Spa. CWAG guests will be given a 15% discount on spa services if an appointment is booked prior to your arrival. Meeting Start and End Dates

Sunday, July 18 – Wednesday, July 21

All CWAG meetings and activities will begin and end at the Eldorado Hotel & Spa meeting space. On-site registration and check-in will begin at 9:00 am on Sunday, July 18th. All registered attendees are invited to attend the CWAG Opening Event which will begin at 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 18th at The Pavilion – the Eldorado’s grand open-air courtyard where we’ll be entertained with A Traveling Circus of Enchantment by Wise Fool New Mexico. CWAG substantive sessions will be open to all attendees starting at 8:00 am, Monday, July 19 and adjourning Wednesday, July 21 after the closing event.

An agenda will session topics and times will be available from the CWAG office by April 30, 2010.

Transportation

Santa Fe is located in northern New Mexico. The Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) as it is officially known, is just an hour’s drive by either rental car or shuttle service. This international gateway is serviced by American, Continental, Northwest, Frontier, United, USAir, and Southwest. The Sandia Shuttle Express offers daily shuttles to/from the Eldorado Hotel & Spa. The one-way rate is $25/person and round-trip rate is $45/person. They can be reached at 888.775.5696 or www.sandiashuttle.com for online reservations and schedules.

Should you choose to rent a car, valet parking is available to hotel guests at $18 or the prevailing rate per 24 hour period.

Getting Around

The Eldorado Hotel and Spa is approximately 3 blocks from the historic plaza and is within walking distance from the heart of Santa Fe and its many shops, restaurants and cultural venues. Moving about the city is uncomplicated and very well serviced. Downtown Santa Fe and the surrounding historic districts are conveniently visited by foot and several shuttle services compliment the inter-city transportation.

Continuing Legal Education Credits

If you would like to receive continuing legal education credits for attendance at the CWAG Annual Meeting, please complete and return Form #2 together with the CWAG meeting registration form. CWAG will apply for and notify attendees of state accreditation of CLE credits. Accreditation amounts vary depending on each state, but a minimum of 10 general and 1.5 ethics credits is anticipated.

Pre-registration discounts are available to those who register before June 16, 2010. All registration fees must be paid prior to attending the meeting. To make changes to registration information or request a refund, please submit changes in writing by email, mail or fax to CWAG. Refund requests received after July 11, 2010 will be processed after August 15, 2010 and will include a deduction of a 20% administrative processing fee.

Attire/Temperature

CWAG meetings are entirely casual. Shorts and golf shirts would be most appropriate throughout the meeting. At 7,000 feet elevation and with more than 300 days of sunshine each year, Santa Fe offers a climate that is enjoyable year-round. While the average high during July is 90 degrees, the evening brings a rapid cooling to the upper 50’s. With Santa Fe’s elevation being at 7,000 feet, it’s important to drink large quantities of water for maintaining proper hydration.
