Steve Bullock, CWAG Chair 2011-2012
Steve Bullock was elected as Montana's 20th Attorney General in November 2008. General Bullock is the state's chief lawyer and law enforcement officer. He leads the Montana Department of Justice, which encompasses the Forensic Science Laboratory, the Montana Highway Patrol, the Motor Vehicle Division, Gambling Control, Legal Services and the Division of Criminal Investigation, as well as the department's information technology staff.

General Bullock began his career in public service in 1996 as chief legal counsel to the Montana Secretary of State. He went on to serve four years with the Montana Department of Justice, first as executive assistant attorney general, and later as acting chief deputy (1997–2001). During this time, he also served as legislative director, coordinating the Attorney General's legislative efforts.

From 2001 to 2008, General Bullock was in private practice in Washington, DC and Montana. He also served as an adjunct professor at the George Washington University School of Law.

General Bullock received his undergraduate degree from Claremont McKenna College and his law degree with honors from Columbia University Law School in New York.

Steve and his wife Lisa have three children, Caroline, Alexandria and Cameron.

Catherine Cortez Masto, CWAG Vice Chair 2011-2012
Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto took the oath as Nevada's Attorney General in January 2007. Prior to that General Masto worked as Assistant County Manager for Clark County beginning in January of 2002.

As Assistant County Manager, General Masto worked on the development and implementation of the Criminal Justice Advisory Counsel. The Advisory Counsel's mission is to produce an efficient working relationship, promote the use of best practices and improve communication among the departments within the criminal justice system.

Prior to working at Clark County, General Masto served two years as a federal criminal prosecutor for the United States Attorney's Office in Washington, D.C. During her tenure as an Assistant United States Attorney, she prosecuted criminals for felony possession and distribution of drugs.

In September 1995, General Masto was appointed to work in Governor Bob Miller's administration. During her initial years she ran his southern Nevada office, provided supporting legal counsel, organized legislation for new state programs, facilitated public policy and managed intergovernmental affairs for various state agencies and commissions.

In July 1998, Governor Miller appointed General Masto to be his Chief of Staff.

General Masto is a native Nevadan. She attended the University of Nevada Reno, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1986 with a major in Finance. She graduated Cum Laude from Gonzaga University School of Law, in Spokane, Washington in 1990.

Marty Jackley, CWAG 2nd Vice Chair 2011-2012
On September 4, 2009, Marty J. Jackley was sworn in as the 30th Attorney General for the State of South Dakota. He serves as the chief law enforcement officer for the State. As Attorney General, Marty is committed to fighting crime, protecting consumers and making South Dakota a safer place to live.

Marty graduated from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1992 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with Honors. He received his law degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 1995.

From 1995-97, Marty served as a law clerk for then-Chief Judge Richard H. Battey in federal district court in Rapid City. Marty then joined the Rapid City law firm of Gunderson, Palmer, Nelson, and Ashmore LLP. As a partner, his practice areas focused primarily on criminal law, civil and business litigation, construction/engineering law, Indian law, and water law. At this time he also served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for South Dakota prosecuting primarily controlled substance felonies. He has extensive jury trial experience on cases including murder, assault, financial crimes, controlled substances, and other felonies. His appellate experience includes evidentiary matters, jurisdictional claims, sentencing issues, juvenile transfers, reclamation law, and other substantive legal issues.

Prior to becoming Attorney General, Marty was appointed United States Attorney for the District of South Dakota in 2006. While United States Attorney he served on both the US Attorney General's Subcommittees for Controlled Substances and the Subcommittees for Native American Issues, and the Midwest High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Executive Board.

Gary King, CWAG Immediate Past Chair 2011-2012
Attorney General Gary King brings a wealth of experience from his service as a legislator, policy advisor at the Department of Energy and has a Ph.D. in chemistry. General King developed the first-ever Memorandum of Understanding between New Mexico and the Mexican State of Chihuahua to combat human trafficking and entered into Memorandum of Understandings with several other Mexican States to address narcotics and arms smuggling. He addressed the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Children in Geneva on his human trafficking initiative in May, 2008. In addition, General King has initiated several programs to protect New Mexico's youth from alcohol, drugs and internet predators.
