Gary King, CWAG Chair 2010-2011
Attorney General Gary King brings a wealth of experience from his service as a legislator, policy advisor at the Department of Energy and has a Ph.D. in chemistry. General King developed the first-ever Memorandum of Understanding between New Mexico and the Mexican State of Chihuahua to combat human trafficking and entered into Memorandum of Understandings with several other Mexican States to address narcotics and arms smuggling. He addressed the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Children in Geneva on his human trafficking initiative in May, 2008. In addition, General King has initiated several programs to protect New Mexico's youth from alcohol, drugs and internet predators.
Steve Bullock, CWAG Vice Chair 2010-2011
Steve Bullock was sworn in as Montana's 20th Attorney General on January 5, 2009. As Attorney General, Bullock is the state's chief lawyer and law enforcement officer. He leads the Montana Department of Justice, which encompasses the Forensic Science Laboratory, the Montana Highway Patrol, the Motor Vehicle Division, Gambling Control, Legal Services and the Division of Criminal Investigation, as well as the department's information technology staff.

Bullock was elected to office based on priorities that include improving child protection. Steve is committed to making sure that we convict sex offenders and that we effectively enforce Montana s strong sex offender laws. He also supports the development of a Children s Justice Center within the Montana Department of Justice to help focus and coordinate efforts to enforce the laws relating to sexual violence against children, and to improve the services we provide to child victims.

Steve has a strong commitment to public access to Montana s streams and public lands  a commitment that earned him the endorsement of the nonpartisan Montana Conservation Voters. Another of his top priorities is providing effective support to local law enforcement and Montana s county attorneys.

Bullock began his career in public service in 1996 as chief legal counsel to the Montana Secretary of State. He went on to serve four years with the Montana Department of Justice, first as executive assistant attorney general, and later as acting chief deputy (1997-2001). During this time, he also served as legislative director, coordinating the Attorney General s legislative efforts.

From 2001 to 2004, Bullock practiced law with the Washington, D.C. firm of Steptoe & Johnson. While there, he also served as an adjunct professor at the George Washington University School of Law.

Prior to his election as Attorney General, Bullock was in private practice in Helena where he represented individuals, consumer organizations, labor unions, peace officers, associations of political subdivisions, and small and large businesses.

Attorney General Bullock was born in Missoula and graduated from the Helena public school system. He received his undergraduate degree from Claremont McKenna College and his law degree with honors from Columbia University Law School in New York.

Steve and his wife Lisa have three children, Caroline, Alexandria and Cameron. He served on many boards and organizations, including the Public Policy Council of the Montana Nonprofit Association, the Board of Directors of Healthy Mothers-Healthy Babies, the Gates of the Mountains Foundation, and the Lewis and Clark County Historic Preservation Commission.

John W. Suthers, CWAG Immediate Past Chair 2010-2011
Attorney General John W. Suthers has extensive experience as a state and federal prosecutor and has been a national leader in a variety of criminal law issues, including Internet safety, identity theft and foreclosure fraud. He also is leading the effort of state attorneys general to update and enhance school safety efforts in the aftermath of the Virginia Tech tragedy.
